A punch press is a stamping press machine. Due to the fast speed and high pressure of punch presses, certain safety regulations must be followed when using punch presses for punching and forming.
1. Transmission components exposed outside the press must be equipped with protective covers, and it is prohibited to drive or test drive without removing the protective covers.
2. Before driving, check whether the main fastening screws are loose, whether the mold has cracks, whether the control mechanism, automatic stop device, clutch, and brake are normal, and whether the lubrication system is blocked or lacking in oil. If necessary, an empty vehicle test can be conducted.
3. When installing the mold, the slider must be opened to the bottom dead center, the closing height must be correct, and eccentric loads should be avoided as much as possible; The mold must be securely fastened and undergo pressure testing and inspection.
4. Attention should be focused during work, and it is strictly prohibited to put hands, tools, or other objects into the danger zone. Small items must be operated with specialized tools (tweezers or feeding mechanisms). When the mold is stuck on the billet, only tools are allowed to release it.
5. If abnormal operation or abnormal noise is found in the press (such as continuous sound or explosion sound), the feeding should be stopped and the cause should be checked. If the rotating parts become loose, the control device fails, the mold becomes loose or damaged, the vehicle should be stopped for repair.
6. After completing each workpiece, hands or feet must be removed from the button or pedal to prevent accidental operation.
When two or more people are operating, they should assign someone to drive and pay attention to coordination and cooperation. Before leaving work, the mold should be placed against the ground, the power should be disconnected, and necessary cleaning should be carried out.
