Place the specimen with a known surface area into a testing chamber where temperature, humidity, air flow rate, and air displacement rate are controlled at certain values. Formaldehyde is released from the test piece and mixed with the air inside the box. The air inside the box is regularly extracted, and the concentration of formaldehyde absorbed in the water is measured by drawing air from the box through a washing cylinder filled with water. The formaldehyde concentration in the air of the test box is calculated from the formaldehyde concentration in the gas washing cylinder and the volume of extracted air, expressed in milligrams per cubic meter (mg/m3). Sampling is periodic until the formaldehyde concentration in the testing chamber reaches equilibrium.

The box is equipped with a forced air circulation device (forming a circulating air flow) to ensure temperature and humidity balance inside the box.

6. Airtightness: The cabin door has self sealing properties. The sealing performance meets the following requirements:

① At a positive pressure of 1kPa (gauge pressure), the air leakage rate inside the cabin is less than 10-3 * 1M3/min;

② The difference in gas flow rate between import and export is less than 1%.

7. Inner box material: 304 mirror stainless steel plate seamlessly welded, with polished and deformation free welding joints and surroundings. The inner wall is flat and smooth, with uniform color, no exposed bottom, peeling, bubbling, or scratches.

8. Outer box material: A3 color steel plate electrostatic spraying, with a flat and smooth coating, uniform color, and no defects such as exposed bottom, peeling, bubbling, spots, deep scratches, etc. The cabin and door are effectively insulated with polyurethane and mineral wool double-layer sandwich insulation. The insulation layer thickness is not less than 50mm, and the thermal conductivity coefficient is not greater than 0.01W/(m · K). The overlap between the inner wall panels is seamless welded.

9. Air exchange device: A device capable of continuously controlling the air exchange rate (dry air flow meter, or other electronic air flow metering device) is installed inside the cabin. The air inlet and outlet should be located on different inner walls and at different heights to ensure that the air flow supplied to the cabin meets the corresponding standard requirements.

10. Air circulation (mixing) device: Install a fan inside the cabin to enhance air mixing inside the cabin; The air velocity near the surface of the specimen is adjustable between 0.1m/s and 0.3m/s.
