The ARL QUANT'X EDXRF spectrometer provides performance, versatility, and reliability for elemental analysis. Its compact desktop design, tightly coupled optics, and advanced electronically cooled detector enable us to achieve unparalleled analytical accuracy over a wide dynamic range from ppm to percentage element concentrations.
The functionality of ARL QUANT'X EDXRF has become even more powerful! In addition to the Peltier cooled Si (Li) detector, the instrument is now equipped with an SDD-SDD1000 with a thickness of 1mm and an area of 30mm2. SDD can handle high count rates with excellent resolution and is typically much thinner than Si (Li) detectors. The common thickness is 0.45mm, and the detection efficiency under high energy is poor. The thickness of the new SDD1000 in ARL QUANT'X has more than doubled to 1mm. Compared with the Si (Li) based ARL QUANT'X, the SDD1000 version exhibits sensitivity in the periodic table, with a detection limit increased by 2 times, and is also suitable for heavy metal elements such as Cd and Sn. In addition, the counting time can be reduced to 1/4 of the original! The new SDD1000 combines the advantages of SDD and Si (Li) detector.

Going further than any other FP analysis, the optional UniQuant program collects all spectral lines emitted by all possible elements from fluorine to uranium. This complete sample spectral curve enables UniQuant to automatically correct all possible overlaps and background effects. These effects are particularly complex in the energy dispersive light spectrum.
