Simply press a button to easily take measurements
As the circuits in embedded systems become increasingly sophisticated, you must measure a large number of different parameters to validate the design. The Tektronix DMM4020 5.5-inch desktop multimeter provides a wide range of functions in a simple and easy-to-use instrument.
It can perform typical multimeter measurements such as voltage, resistance, and current with a basic VDC accuracy of up to 0.015%, ensuring the required instrument performance for the design. You can also use DMM4020 to measure frequency, perform on-off tests, and diode tests. You can use a multifunctional instrument instead of a counter, on-off tester, and current transmission DMM to save workspace space and costs.
Measure nanoampere signals
Measuring standby current in current energy-efficient designs requires examining very low currents, typically only a few microamperes or nanoamperes. For this type of measurement, using a traditional multimeter can lead to inaccurate results, as traditional multimeters typically use shunt resistance technology to measure current.
The DMM4020 digital multimeter has improved the method of measuring low current. By using current to voltage amplifier technology, DMM4020 can measure current with a resolution of 1nA, minimizing the load impact on the measured current, and the results reflect the device's working conditions in actual environments.
Professional design makes your work easier
The DMM4020 multimeter is professionally designed, easy to use, and provides the familiar operation you expect from Tektronix.
Intuitive operation
The dedicated front panel buttons can quickly access commonly used functions and parameters, reducing instrument setup time. You no longer need to search the software menu to find the desired function.
Multiple setting buttons to complete common measurements
You can save the most common measurement settings using the six settings buttons on the front panel. You just need to set up the instrument for measurement, press the Shift key, and then press the settings button to save the instrument settings. Then each time you perform the measurement, you only need to press the corresponding setting key.
dual display
Through the unique dual display, you can measure two different parameters of the same signal from a set of test probes.
Extreme comparison
Extreme comparison mode on DMM4020.
The extreme comparison mode provides pass/fail metrics that quickly indicate whether the test has passed, helping to eliminate errors, especially for test results close to the limit.
Simple and accurate 4-line measurement
The patented 2 × 4 ohm separated terminal socket allows for the use of only two leads instead of four leads to perform 4-wire measurements. Tech provides dedicated test line accessories that can establish connections. You can achieve outstanding resolution and accuracy, and using a pair of leads is very convenient.
Easy to connect to PC
You can use the RS-232 port on the back panel to connect to a PC. The DMM4020 comes standard with a USB to RS-232 interface adapter cable for connecting to a USB port on a PC.
Connect the workbench to achieve intelligent debugging
Signal Express collects data from Tektronix DMM4020 and DPO3052
Export DMM4020 data to Excel using Signal Express
With the dedicated Tektronix version N a t i o n a l i n s t r u m e n t L a b V I E W SignalExpressTM software, you can easily capture, save, and analyze the measurement results of a multimeter. Each DMM 4020 multimeter is equipped with a limited edition SignalExpress for free, which can complete basic instrument control, data recording, and analysis work. The optional professional version software provides over 200 built-in functions, which can further realize signal processing, advanced analysis, scanning, extreme testing, and user-defined stepping functions.
SignalExpress supports multiple Tektronix instruments * 1, which can be connected to the entire test bench and access the multifunctional tools that come standard with each instrument from an intuitive software interface. You can automatically complete complex measurements that require multiple instruments to complete, record data over longer periods of time, achieve time correlation for data from multiple instruments, and easily capture and analyze measurement results, all done from a PC. Only Tektronix provides a connected testing platform consisting of multiple intelligent instruments, simplifying and accelerating the debugging work of complex designs.
