GX1649 is a 3U PXI digital to analog conversion output circuit board designed for applications that require multiple DC or AC analog outputs. The GX1649 provides 64 output channels and a 16 bit high-precision signal source, which can be used as a DC source or any waveform generator.

characteristic

The channels of GX1649 are divided into four groups, each with 16 channels, providing a total of 64 channels of AWG or 64 DC sources. When operating as a DC source, each channel can be individually programmed and triggered. All groups can achieve synchronized updates and each channel within a group can be programmed to a different voltage value. When used as a waveform generator, a 256K sample buffer is allocated to each group's 16 channels, allowing users to allocate the buffer to a specific channel or all channels. When all 64 channels are configured in AWG mode, the maximum sampling rate reaches 625K/s. Each group can provide a clock reference through a programmable clock source, or all groups can be driven through a common clock. In a group, channels can be configured as a combination of AWG and DC modes.

For applications that require continuous data transfer from a PC, GX1649-1 supports data stream mode, which allows the PC to continuously transfer data to GX1649's 1k FIFO cache. The actual data flow rate depends on the speed of the processor and other programs that may be running simultaneously.

The GX1649 also provides 8 digital TTL I/O channels for general-purpose applications. These digital I/O channels can also be configured as external clock inputs to drive four sets of analog channels.

Programming and Software

This board also provides the GXAO software package, which includes a virtual instrument panel, a Windows 32/64 bit DLL driver library, and files. At the same time, a trial license for WaveEasy software is also provided. WaveEasy is a software that can create, modify, and analyze waveforms. This virtual panel can be used for interactive programming and can control the instrument from a window that displays the current settings and status of the instrument. In addition, interface files are also provided to support other programming tools and languages such as ATEasy, LabView, LabView/RealTime, C/C++, Microsoft Visual Basic ®, Delphi, And Pascal. An online document and PDF user manual page can provide detailed instructions on installation, use, and programming.

A standalone software package - GtLinux, which provides support for 32-bit and 64 bit LinU based systems.
