The cardiac cycle involves a series of contractions of the atria and ventricles, which are triggered by coordinated electrical activity of myocardial cells. This current can be non invasively recorded as an electrocardiogram (ECG) through electrodes, and changes in cardiac function are often associated with ECG changes. Therefore, ECG research is an important tool in pharmacology, physiology, and other disciplines.
IWorx provides a complete electrocardiogram measurement system that can record electrocardiograms from small animals to humans. ECG research can be configured using common ECG lead methods, such as 3-lead ECG, 6-lead ECG, and 12 lead ECG.
