AquaMate 8000 UV Visible spectrophotometerIt can bring a more precise, reliable, and convenient operating experience to your laboratory. The concise and compact design, intuitive operation, and other innovative features can enable you to conduct water quality analysis more ideally in the laboratory. There are two options for different users to choose from: AquaMate 7000 is a visible spectrophotometer with a wavelength range of 325-1100nm. The AquaMate 8000 is a UV visible spectrophotometer with a wavelength range of 190-1100nm, providing a wider range of measurement needs. This spectrophotometer has excellent quality and reliable performance. It is specially designed for the detection of water and wastewater samples in the laboratory. Combined with advanced functions and features, it makes the use process more flexible and convenient.

Functional features:

  1. With over 260 preset measurement programs, Orion AQUAFast, Merck, CHEMetrics, or Hach reagents can be directly used.
  2. Users can create their own measurement programs.
  3. Each preset program can be adjusted at a single point to adapt to new batches of reagents.
  4. Suitable for various sizes of color comparison pools (bottles) -10mm square color comparison pool, 20mm and 50mm rectangular color comparison pool, adjustable circular color comparison bottle holder (can use 13mm, 16mm and 24mm color comparison bottles).
  5. Three USB interfaces, which can save measurement programs and data to a USB flash drive, as well as connect to a PC for data transfer or a printer. The printer can be an inkjet or laser printer (such as HP PCL5 or higher).
  6. AquaMate can undergo performance validation testing to ensure accurate wavelength and instrument performance.
  7. Compliant with GLP and GMP, each validation report includes time, date, and instrument serial number.
  8. The built-in wavelength accuracy test is compatible with both internal light sources and external calibration standard solutions.

With over 260 preset measurement programs, the following parameters can be easily and accurately measured using Orion AQUAFast, Merck, CHEMetrics, or Hach reagents and various size colorimetric pools (bottles):

The AquaMate spectrophotometer can provide the following three types of mounting brackets, which can be flexibly matched with various colorimetric pools (bottles).

13-25mm adjustable fixed bracket, suitable for circular colorimetric bottles;

For users with a large sample size, they can also choose a 6-cell rack, which can simultaneously place 6 10mm colorimetric cells.

  • Dual beam optical system

Due to the strong light emitted by xenon lamps, even if a spectrometer is used to distribute a small portion of the light to the built-in reference detector, it will not affect the sample testing. This allows for reference beam calibration to be performed simultaneously with each sample measurement, avoiding errors caused by the light source. The dual beam system ensures maximum precision in each measurement, as the reference beam corrects each data point without any deviation over a long period of time, and the peak position does not change when the scanning speed changes.

  • Ready to use - maintenance free xenon lamp

The AquaMate 8000 uses a xenon lamp as the light source, providing perfect performance with a wavelength range of 190-1100nm. At the same time, high-intensity light sources provide strong support for applications such as life sciences, environmental testing, and organic chemistry in the ultraviolet range.

Xenon lamp light source does not require preheating, it can be turned on and tested immediately. Because the sample will not be continuously irradiated, it will not affect sensitive samples. And it will not change the temperature inside the sample chamber, ensuring the stability of the sample temperature. Because xenon lamps only light up during measurement, they can usually be used for 5-7 years and do not require special maintenance. Compared to traditional light sources, this saves users approximately $4400 in maintenance costs within 5 years.

The AquaMate 8000 has improved sensitivity and optimized resolution. Because a bandwidth of 1.8nm allows more light energy to reach the sample, resulting in lower detection limits and better signal-to-noise ratio.

The AquaMate 8000 UV visible spectrophotometer is equipped with wavelength scanning technology, which can quickly obtain high-quality spectral data. It has increased the scanning speed to 4200nm/min. With an ultra wide range of luminosity, even small changes in absorbance can be accurately measured, even for strongly absorbing blank samples. Scanning data can be analyzed to determine the wavelength values of peaks and valleys, and peak height and 3-point calculations can be used to obtain a tilted baseline. The scanned data can be saved to a USB drive.

When high resolution is not required to distinguish adjacent peaks, the AquaMate7000 can increase energy to improve measurement sensitivity and enhance the signal-to-noise ratio of diluted samples.
