QS1-370 is one of our mid-range signal sources, with a maximum output frequency of 370 GHz. This system can be combined with a frequency multiplier to achieve a practical range of over 1 THz.
It can provide more power in the 300 GHz range than any other source in the same series.
The main functions include:
• Spectral range: 220-370 GHz
• Spectral resolution: 3-20 MHz
• Water cooling system
Users choose compact magnets for single tubes or larger universal BWO magnets

Product parameters:

The QS1-370 terahertz source is a novel device formed by combining the QS1-370 (OV-24) backward wave tube (BWO). It can be tuned in the range of 220-370 GHz.
This device can be quickly configured for any of the above ranges, making it a good choice for terahertz sources across a wide range. QS1-370 BWO can be pre assembled into MS-0.6 magnetic systems,
It can also be done withThe MS-X.X series provided by Microtech Instruments Inc. can be used together with any other form of system.
The operation of QS1-370 also requires a high-voltage power supply, such as VR-6M, and a water cooling system. In standard configuration, QS1-370 generates adjustable monochromatic power of up to 20 mWContinuous wave with a bandwidth of 3 MHz.
The typical output power spectrum of QS1-370 is displayed at the top of this page. The operation of QS1-370 BWO system requires the use of VR6 high-voltage power supply. This power supply can provide up to 6 kV voltage and has very low line ripple.
The power supply can also choose to add a smaller modulation voltage to broaden the spectral lines, which helps prevent standing waves from appearing in the optical device. By using Microtech's DAU control device, the usage of QS1 system has been greatly improved.
This data acquisition unit controls the power supply voltage and allows users to control the frequency output of the system. It also includes interfaces for THz detectors, large aperture choppers, and software for analyzing spectra to calculate material dielectric constants
