1、 Product Introduction
Traditional mechanical water meters require manual on-site meter reading, which not only reduces work efficiency but also increases labor costs. Meanwhile, manual meter reading affects the normal life of residential users.
By directly reading the meter head through a camera, it is possible to transform and upgrade the original mechanical meter into a remote meter reading water meter without disassembling it. Remote meter reading can be achieved through wired transmission or wireless GPRS transmission.
Camera remote meter reading, also known as "video remote meter reading" and "visual remote meter reading".
The camera remote water meter is a device that adds a camera, electronic module, and CM-BUS remote water meter to the surface of a regular water meter.
The meter reading mode involves capturing digital footage and transmitting it to a computer for image analysis to obtain data on the current water usage, so there is no possibility of misreading the data.
2、 Product Features
1. Sealing performance. The camera, chip, and relay make up the camera cover, and there is a sealing rubber ring at the connection between the camera cover and the dial. The sealing is completed under pressure testing to ensure that the camera cover has waterproof and anti fog functions.
2. Flexibility. The detachable camera cover and water meter are combined to form an integrated camera direct reading water meter, which can be easily opened and closed; It is also possible to install a camera cover on the already installed water meter without disassembling it, to avoid water outage accidents caused by replacing the mechanical water meter.
3. Passivity. Due to the fact that remote transmission of water meters through cameras does not require a power supply, it only needs to be powered on instantly during meter reading to achieve camera meter reading and data transmission, greatly extending the system's lifespan. The normal lifespan of the system can exceed 15 years.

4、 Bus connection meter reading method
1. Each branch collector can connect the cameras and transmission of 15 meters. The data channel is based on the PRS485-BUS bus system.
2. The branch collector is connected to the PRS485-BUS bus and leads to the bus concentrator.
3. The bus concentrator is equipped with a P-RS232 BUS interface, which can be connected to desktop computers, laptops, and can also be used for PDA meter readers to achieve batch meter reading. The PDA meter reader is equipped with a memory USB flash drive for data storage.
4. The image data of meter reading is imported into the computer meter reading image processing system through a USB flash drive for image recognition to obtain information on the water volume used by the user. As shown in the picture

5、 Meter reading mode
1. PC (desktop or laptop) image remote meter reading.
2. Portable PDA meter reader for meter reading. All instruments under the jurisdiction of the bus controller can be completed at once on the bus controller.
3. Adopting the PRS485 BUS bus network architecture. Implement remote meter reading of bus controller GPRS transmission device.
4. Internet image remote meter reading, equipped with a microprocessor directly inside the water meter camera cover, comes with an IP address, and can be directly connected to the Internet through a network cable. The image data of this water meter can be read anywhere in the world with the Internet. There are already formed products.
6、 The extensible scope of use of this scheme
Remote data copying of various civilian and industrial instruments, such as monitoring of electricity meters, gas meters, flow meters, etc., is particularly suitable for instrument data copying and detection with high requirements for data error rate. The advantages are as follows:
1. The recognized data coexists with the original image and can be manually proofread regularly to achieve zero accumulated errors after proofreading.
2. For the situation where the instrument exists in a closed pipe well or suspended ceiling, if the general meter reading mode is used, if the instrument or sensor is damaged and false alarms occur, the system will not be able to recognize the correctness of the signal. The image meter reading scheme, on the other hand, "would rather not report than make a mistake". If it does not report, it indicates that there is a problem with the system and prompts the staff to carry out maintenance (such as a black screen in the photo); The report contains real photos, indicating that the data is correct and the system is functioning properly.
