HygroVUE ™ 5&10 provides an advanced digital sensor that combines temperature and relative humidity elements, making it a suitable choice for meteorological networks. The electronic components inside the sensor provide accurate measurements, and the digital SDI-12 output allows many data recording systems to be easily connected and measured. This digital output avoids additional errors when measuring analog sensors.     When using HygroVUE outdoors ™ At 10 o'clock, the standard practice is to install the sensor inside a casing called a radiation shield. This shielding prevents solar radiation from heating the sensor and generating measurement errors. The radiation shield also provides a degree of protection from adverse weather, such as hail or rainstorm. The most common type of shielding is a relatively small, naturally ventilated radiation hood that is maintenance free and does not require a power source.

    HygroVUE ™ 10 is specifically designed for on-site use, and its size is suitable for ordinary radiation shields. Campbell Science recommends using the RAD10E radiation shield.

    Calibration is easy to perform by simply plugging and unplugging sensor components.
