MS1204 microwave attenuation sensing technology, which is applied to the Beidouxing series moisture analyzer, is a highly reliable moisture testing technology developed and gradually improved by Beidouxing for 30 years, through several generations of experts from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, comparing the advantages and disadvantages of the existing technologies of detection principles at home and abroad.
The microwave attenuation method is designed based on the principle that there is a significant difference (75:1) in the absorption rates of organic matter and water molecules for electromagnetic waves at 100MHz. The absorption coefficient of water for microwaves is different from that of other media. When a high-frequency electric field is applied to the sample, the presence of water affects the phase and amplitude of the high-frequency electric field, and the degree of influence is related to the water content. By testing the changes in the phase and amplitude of the high-frequency electric field, and through intelligent digital to analog conversion and related data processing, the requirements for rapid and accurate detection are achieved, solving the problem of the detection accuracy of other moisture detection principles being affected by factors such as electrolyte, organic matter composition differences, acidity and alkalinity, and sand content of the media.

How to use a moisture meter
During normal testing, simply insert the sensor into the sample, turn on the power switch, and the test value will be displayed on the LCD monitor
A simple user of an oil product:
Whether on site or in the laboratory, first mix the oil and water evenly, then insert the sensor, and turn on the power switch in the upper left corner of the instrument. After a few seconds, the display will show the test results. Turn off the power after reading. It takes about 10 seconds

Multi table classification test user:
Open the instrument and first observe whether the "C #" label in the upper right corner corresponds to the calibration table of the oil type you want to test. Replace the calibration table of the oil type you want to test with the current one, and then perform the above test. (For the method of replacing the calibration table, please refer to Article 1.2 of the HBD5m Moisture Tester User Manual.)
Preparation before use
*For secondary use, the first step is to check whether the test data is accurate. If it is not accurate enough, it must be recalibrated with user samples. For calibration concepts and methods, please refer to Section 2 of the HBD5m Moisture Tester User Manual.
Before leaving the factory, the Beidou Industrial Chemistry Research Institute tries to perform preliminary calibration on the same samples as the user. However, due to differences in samples and standard methods, sometimes it may not be consistent with the user's on-site testing. But through user recalibration, the technical specifications can be achieved.
Coal Tar Moisture Analyzer [Instrument Maintenance]
The instrument is equipped with rechargeable batteries. Charging for about 3-5 hours each time, it can be used continuously for 6-10 hours. Backup time of 3 days. When the battery voltage is insufficient, the instrument will intermittently emit a "beep" sound and prompt an alarm on the display.
After the first use of this instrument, it needs to be recalibrated every 1-3 months, and then recalibrated every six months to one year thereafter.
