Common problems that need maintenance for spray towers

1. Nozzle blockage

Reason: The liquid in the water tank contains too much dust and impurities.

Solution: First check if the water tank filter plate is broken, if a filter screen is installed at the water pump inlet, and if the filter screen at the bottom of the water pump is damaged. Assuming there are any problems, repair or replace them in a timely manner. Check if the nozzle is blocked, it needs to be disassembled. Dismantling and installation method of nozzle: First, remove the window screws and the window panel. When entering the tower, remove the nozzle counterclockwise. Turn on the water pump (replace the water in the tank with clean water) and work for two minutes before turning it off. Then, install the nozzle clockwise.

2. Packing blockage

Reason: Dust and viscous impurities in the exhaust gas adhere to the surface of the packing ball, such as spray painting exhaust gas, polishing exhaust gas, organic exhaust gas, etc.

Solution: Add cleaning solution and a small amount of detergent to the spray tower water tank as a simple liquid for spray cleaning. If there is too much sticky dust adhering to the packing, the packing should be replaced or removed for cleaning in a timely manner. The cleaned packing or the replaced packing should be reinstalled. Afterwards, add an appropriate amount of cleaning solution and a small amount of detergent to the spray tower (referring to the water tank), and regularly clean the floating objects in the water tank. If there is any sediment at the bottom, clean it promptly to ensure that the water in the tank is clean and free of dust or dirt.

3. Mist removal layer over water

Reason: Insufficient defogging filler or excessive fan airflow, resulting in the defogging layer height not meeting the planning requirements.

Solution: Fill the demister layer with filling material, or lower the grid plate of the filling layer (inside the tower), add demister layer filling material, or adjust the frequency converter of the fan equipment to reduce the air volume.

4. Blow the packing into a pile

Reason: The fan air volume is too large, which is caused by the mismatch between the specifications of the spray tower and the fan air volume.

Solution: Remove the screws from the window and remove the window panel. Spread the filler flat on top and press a layer of grille plate, or reduce the air volume of the fan equipment frequency converter.

5. After the fan is started and then closed, the water in the water tank will flow out from the overflow port

Reason: The gas inlet and outlet specifications do not match the fan air volume planning, and the spray tower planning specifications do not match the fan.

Solution: Reduce the air volume of the fan equipment frequency converter or increase the gas inlet and outlet, or adjust the float valve to control the water level.

6. The nozzle of the spray tower may not produce water due to the small amount of water

Reason: The water pump may be running idle, or the water level may be too low for the pump to pump water, resulting in nozzle blockage or water inlet blockage, which may also cause the spray tower nozzle to have too little water flow or even no water output.

Solution: Check if the water pump is working properly and if the water level is too low to draw water. If the water level is too low, add water promptly.
