Overview of Prototype Vacuum Single Cone Drying Equipment
The low-temperature vacuum single cone dryer developed by Baide Drying with reference to German technology is widely used in the drying of organic solvent materials in the pesticide industry. With the continuous recognition of its advantages and the continuous improvement of the process flow, it is suitable for the requirements of dry wet powder, filter cake, paste and slurry materials, especially for products with high specific gravity, viscosity and sensitivity, or containing toxic or explosive solvents.
The vacuum single cone dryer is equipped with a heating jacket on the heating cone, and the heat source is hot water, thermal oil or low-pressure steam, so as to maintain a certain temperature on the inner wall of the cone. The variable frequency speed regulating motor drives the single screw belt agitator to rotate through a parallel helical gear reducer, and the animal material is rotated along the conical cylinder and lifted from bottom to top. After the material reaches the high point, it automatically flows towards the center of the vortex and returns to the bottom of the conical cylinder by gravity and inertia. The entire process forces the material to be heated inside the conical cylinder, with relative convection and mixing. The heat diffuses among the materials, causing them to undergo irregular reciprocating motion in all directions, completing high-frequency heat transfer exchange between the material and the single screw belt and cylinder wall surface, and achieving heating and drying effect in a short time. Thus, the internal moisture of the material continuously evaporates. Under the action of the vacuum pump, the water vapor is drawn out by the vacuum pump. If it is necessary to recover the liquid, a condenser or a recovery liquid storage tank can be used for recovery. After drying, open the discharge valve at the bottom to discharge the material.



Structural characteristics and functions of prototype vacuum single cone drying equipment
1. The equipment adopts jacket and screw internal heating, which increases the overall heating area of the equipment by about 40%.
2. The single screw belt stirrer used in the equipment is a patented product of our company, which can achieve the effect of bottom-up circulation stirring and obtain efficient forced heat transfer performance. When the material loading rate is between 40% and 100%, 100% heating utilization can be achieved. Suitable for mixing and drying delicate materials.
3. Fully sealed system, no foreign matter contamination, high cleanliness, especially suitable for mixing and drying of pharmaceutical intermediates and raw materials, as well as for mixing and drying sterile raw materials.
4. The gap between the single screw mixer and the container wall is small, which can effectively prevent materials from sticking to the surface of the container wall.
5. Adopting a small angle conical cylinder structure, the unloading speed is fast, clean, and does not accumulate material.
6. Equipped with a filter bag nitrogen dust cleaning device:
The dust raised during the material drying process is adsorbed onto the vacuum trap, blocking the vacuum channel. The obstruction of the gas channel directly leads to an extension of the drying time. The lower the temperature and shorter the drying time of the material during the drying process, the less the impact on the quality of the material. In response to the above reasons, our company has developed a single cone dryer that is equipped with a nitrogen back blowing dust cleaning device on the vacuum collector, which can maintain the smoothness of the vacuum channel during the material drying process, thereby ensuring the drying time and quality.

The main structure of the prototype of the vacuum single cone drying equipment is as follows:
This machine consists of a motor, reducer, frame, mechanical seal, metal sintered mesh filter, hollow double screw belt agitator, conical cylinder with jacket heating, and discharge valve.
1. Transmission and sealing parts: composed of electric motor, reducer, frame, and mechanical seal.
① Electric motor: adopts variable frequency speed regulation motor, and the speed can be adjusted as needed during operation.
② Reducer: SLFA series helical gear reducer, runs smoothly and reliably, has low noise, and has a long service life.
③ Rack: self-designed and manufactured with high precision. Equipped with two sets of roller bearings, the mixer height and radial swing can be adjusted.
④ Mechanical seal: single end sanitary type with material receiving and flushing chamber, good sealing performance.
2. Blender: The hollow mixing shaft is connected to the hollow screw belt with support rods, and the upper and lower ends connected to the hollow screw belt are formed with hollow support rods to form a circuit that can pass through the heat medium. In order to ensure that the material does not adhere to the cylinder wall, the gap between the screw belt and the cylinder wall is very small.
3. Tank body: This part consists of an upper head, a conical cylinder, a vacuum filter, a discharge valve, etc.
① Upper head: carries the transmission part and agitator; The inner surface connecting ports have rounded transitions. All materials in contact with the material are 316L. The process pipe openings are as follows: DN400 sanitary manhole, pressure gauge, explosion-proof sight light, sight glass port, feeding port, cleaning port, vacuum port, etc.
② Lower cone with heating jacket: The inner surface is smooth and free of dead corners, which can fully dry the material. When discharging, use the rotation of the mixer to quickly and cleanly discharge the material.
③ Filter: Made of metal sintered mesh, with high filtration accuracy and large filtration area. And an exhaust port is set up at the vacuum outlet to perform compressed air blowback regeneration on the filter during exhaust.
④ Discharge valve: Adopting a suction valve, it has a fast discharge speed, easy operation, and no residue or dead corners in the discharge.

Technical parameters of prototype vacuum single cone drying equipment:
1. Host capacity: 100L; Loading capacity: approximately 60L-70L.
2. Loading coefficient: ≤ 70% reserve volume (material density calculated as 0.4-0.45)
3. Working pressure inside the tank:- 0.09Mpa~-0.1 Mpa
4. Working pressure of interlayer: 0.25Mpa~0.3Mpa
5. Motor power: 2.2kW (motor is variable frequency speed regulation).
6. Host speed: 10-30rpm. (Spiral mixing speed can be adjusted by frequency conversion according to product characteristics)
7. Jacket heating method: hot water heating, jacket temperature: ≤ 60 ℃.
8. Inner cylinder: Made of 316L stainless steel, with polished inner walls.
9. The mixing shaft is made of stainless steel 316L thick walled tube, and the support rod is made of Φ 25mm stainless steel 316L thick walled tube. The spiral blade is made of 8mm stainless steel plate and 316L stainless steel. The internal pipeline can be heated by thermal oil or low-pressure steam to uniformly transfer heat to the surface of the shaft and blades, greatly increasing the heat transfer area.
10. The imported host adopts a quick opening cover, which is simple, convenient, and can ensure good vacuum sealing effect. The feeding port of the host adopts a ball valve method, which is a DN100 clamp quick connect type with a valve. The venting valve is placed at the top cover position and is vented using a ball valve. The discharge port adopts a suction valve, which has a fast discharge speed, easy operation, and no residue in the discharge.
11. The sealing of the host adopts a single end mechanical seal, which can ensure a high vacuum degree of the host and improve the drying speed.
12. The host adopts the SLFA series helical gear reducer, which runs smoothly and reliably, has low noise, and has a long service life.
13. There is an on-site thermometer on the cone, which can observe and regulate the temperature at any time.
14. Vacuum extraction inside the cylinder:- 0.09Mpa or above.
15. The contact area of the equipment material is made of 316L, and the outer wall is made of 304 stainless steel material.
16. The power supply is 380V, three-phase five wire, 50Hz.
