1、 Purpose:

The DX-31B, DX-32A, and DX-32B signal relays are suitable for use as action indicators in DC operated protection circuits.

DX-31BJ, DX-32AJ, and DX-32BJ are suitable for use as action indicators in protection circuits for AC operations.

2、 Structure and principle

This signal relay is a snap on electromagnetic signal relay, which has an attraction coil (current or voltage) on a "U" shaped magnetic conductor. A movable moving plate is mounted on the magnetic conductor, and the insulation plate on the moving plate pushes two sets of moving contact points.

The DX-31B model is equipped with a limiting plate on the moving plate and is an escapement mechanism with contact mechanical locking. A signal indicator is installed on the nameplate.

The DX-32A model has an additional holding coil as a voltage locking mechanism and is equipped with a signal light on the nameplate.

The DX-32B model has an additional set of dynamic contact points, which keep the coil connected in parallel with the signal light. When the signal light burns out, the coil can still work normally.

working principle:

When the attraction coil of the DX-31B signal relay is energized, it generates electromagnetic attraction, which attracts the moving plate. At this time, the contact is in working state (the dynamic contact is closed), and the restriction plate vertically places the signal board to display the action. When the attraction coil is disconnected, due to the action of the restriction plate, the contact and indicator are still in working state. When the indicator is pressed, the moving plate returns to the starting position, the limiting plate captures the indicator, and the contact returns to its original position.

When the attraction coil of DX-32A and DX-32B signal relays is energized, electromagnetic attraction is generated, which attracts the moving plate. At this time, the contacts are in working state, and one set of contacts will keep the coil energized. The indicator light will be on, indicating the action. When the attraction coil is powered off, the relay is still in working state due to the electromagnetic attraction of the holding coil. When the holding coil is powered off, the relay returns to the starting position.

There are two installation methods for relays: embedded and protruding. Please specify them when ordering.

3、 Technical data

3.1 Rated value

The rated values of the working winding of the relay are 220, 110, 48, 24, 12V or 0.01, 0.015, 0.02, 0.025, 0.04, 0.05, 0.075, 0.08, 0.1, 0.15, 0.2, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1, 2, 4A.

DX-32A/B maintains circuit ratings of 220, 110, and 48V.

3.2 Action Value

The operating voltage shall not exceed 70% of the rated voltage; The operating current shall not exceed 90% of the rated current.

3.3 Holding value: not exceeding 80% of the rated holding voltage.

3.4 Return value: not less than 5% of the rated value.

3.5 Power consumption: The current winding shall not exceed 0.3W, and the voltage winding shall not exceed 3W.

a. The voltage holding circuit of DX-32A shall not exceed 10W for 220V, 5W for 110V, and 3W for 48V.

b. The voltage holding circuit of DX-32B shall not exceed 20W for 220V, 10W for 110V, and 4W for 48V.

3.6 The coil resistance values are shown in Table 1.
3.7 Contact Capacity

A. In a DC circuit with a voltage not exceeding 250V (time constant of 5 ± 0.75ms) and a current not exceeding 0.5A, 30W can be disconnected.

B. In an AC circuit with a voltage not exceeding 250V (cos φ=0.4 ± 0.1) and a current not exceeding 1V, 100VA can be disconnected.

3.8 Dielectric Strength

The conductive circuits of the relay connected together should be able to withstand an AC test voltage of 2kV (effective value) and 50Hz for 1 minute without insulation breakdown or flashover between the exposed non-metallic parts and the outer shell, and between the contact circuits of the working winding and the unconnected holding winding.

3.9 Lifespan: Electrical lifespan 1000 times, mechanical lifespan 5000 times.

3.10 Thermal stability: When the voltage is continuously applied at 110% of the rated voltage and the current winding is continuously applied at the rated current, and the ambient temperature is 40 ℃, the temperature rise of the winding shall not exceed 65 ℃.

3.11 Weight: 0.40kg.
