The transparency of water depends on its turbidity (referring to the degree of turbidity caused by the presence of various plankton and suspended solids in the water) and chromaticity (the color caused by suspended organisms and dissolved organic matter).

Digital Transparency DiskBy using high-precision pressure sensors to measure the water depth from the water surface to the measurement point, and combining the black and white Saybolt method for transparency investigation, instead of the traditional "knot recording" method of manually placing ropes to record the transparency depth of water quality based on the length of the rope, the measurement error caused by Saybolt drift due to water flow and the movement of the work vessel is solved, and the accuracy of transparency measurement is improved. For high flow velocity measurement, the counterweight can be flexibly increased.
