Detection Principle

The YC-109S economical ammonia nitrogen rapid analyzer is developed and designed according to HJ535-20009 "Determination of Ammonia Nitrogen in Water Quality - Nessler's Reagent spectrophotometric method". Ammonia nitrogen in the form of free ammonia or ammonium ions reacts with Nessler's reagent to form a light yellow brown complex. The absorbance of the complex is proportional to the ammonia nitrogen content, and colorimetric method is used. After collecting water samples, users can add matching reagents to directly measure the ammonia nitrogen content in the water sample on the instrument.
