Cooling capacity measurement system for chilled water
I. Overview
With the increase of large and modern buildings, cooling systems have developed rapidly, and the demand for cooling capacity in the industrial and chemical industries has also promoted the development of centralized cooling services. Centralized cooling refers to the use of cooling media (usually fresh water and saltwater) by power plants to supply the refrigeration capacity of refrigerators to users. In order to manage and account for the operation of refrigeration equipment and settle the cooling consumption of users, it is necessary to measure the cooling capacity of relevant nodes.
In terms of the method of measuring the amount of chilled water, it is the same as measuring the heat of hot water, and the amount of cold supplied can be regarded as negative heat. Due to the low temperature of the fluid, there are some differences in the specific methods used.

2、 Installation diagram of chilled water metering system
The chilled water used for air conditioning generally has a water temperature level of 5-6 ℃, and the refrigerant is fresh water. For cooling below 5 ℃, salt water or other cooling media should be used. The cooling capacity measurement method for fresh frozen water often adopts the mass flow based measurement method as shown in the following figure.

(1) In the flow measurement of chilled water, HTD electromagnetic flowmeter has obvious advantages, and its characteristics are as follows:
Electromagnetic flowmeter measurement is not affected by changes in fluid density, viscosity, temperature, pressure, and conductivity.
The electromagnetic flowmeter measuring tube has unobstructed flow components, no pressure loss, and low requirements for straight pipe sections.
The electromagnetic flowmeter sensor can be equipped with a grounding electrode to achieve good grounding of the instrument.
The electromagnetic flowmeter sensor adopts advanced processing technology, which makes the instrument have good anti negative pressure ability
① The lining selection of HTD series electromagnetic flowmeter: If the chilled water is fresh water, rubber lining can be chosen, which is relatively low in cost. If the chilled water is saline water, PTFE lining must be selected. If both fresh water and saline water are measured, PTFE lining must be selected. HTD electromagnetic flowmeter can choose the appropriate lining material according to the on-site situation.
② The selection of thermal resistance, Huitong Instrument adopts high-quality and high-precision A-level armored thermal resistance, with an accuracy of ± 0.2%, greatly improving the accuracy of the system. The thermal resistance junction box is waterproof and moisture-proof, with a long service life.
③ The XSHT series heat accumulator collects, displays, controls, transmits, communicates, prints and processes various signals such as temperature and flow on site, forming a digital acquisition system and control system.
