Vaisala's GMP343 soil respiration carbon dioxide sensor is designed for high-precision carbon dioxide measurement, based on advanced CARBOCAP single beam dual band NDIR technology. The GMP343 soil respiration carbon dioxide sensor consists of a carbon dioxide sensor, electronic components, and a housing suitable for long-term field use. There are two models available for users to choose from, flow type and diffusion type. The output signal of the sensor can be adjusted to output voltage or current signals (0-2.5V, 0-5V, 4-20mA), and digital RS-232/RS-485 signal output can also be applied. The measurement range is from 0-1000ppm to 0-2% carbon dioxide.

Users can configure the output of the GMP343 soil respiration carbon dioxide sensor. They can use raw data without filtering or compensation, or they can choose filtering conditions, compensation conditions (temperature, pressure, relative humidity, oxygen), and linearization. Widely used in CO2 soil respiration, ambient temperature CO2 monitoring, plant growth chambers, and OEM applications. The use of diffusion ventilation to eliminate errors caused by pressure differences in pump sampling can be used for soil carbon dioxide monitoring.
