GXG filter is a series of specialized filters with adaptive filter material (very star filter material) as the technical core. Adaptive filter material is a new type of filter material that has the advantages of high filtration accuracy and large interception capacity of fiber filter material, as well as high backwash cleanliness and low water consumption of granular filter material. The pore distribution of the filter bed formed by this filter material is close to the structure of ideal filter material. The uniform distribution of air gap rate in the cross section (horizontal) of the filter bed ensures the consistency of the size of the water flow channel during filtration, which directly results in uniform interception of pollutants and avoids the phenomenon of water flow short circuit. The distribution of porosity in the vertical section of the filter bed gradually decreases from top to bottom, with a gradient distribution of higher porosity along the vertical section of the filter bed and lower porosity. This structure is conducive to the effective separation of suspended solids in water, that is, particles detached from the upper part of the filter bed are easily captured and intercepted in the narrow channel of the lower part of the filter bed. Due to the uniqueness of the filter bed formed by adaptive filter materials, GXG filters are able to achieve high-speed and high-precision filtration.

When filtering, the nucleus with a higher specific gravity plays a role in compacting the fiber bundle. At the same time, due to the smaller size of the nucleus, it has little effect on the uniformity of the pore distribution in the filtration section, thereby improving the interception capacity of the filter bed. During backwashing, due to the difference in specific gravity between the core and tail fiber bundles, the base and tail fibers disperse and oscillate with the backwashing water flow, generating strong drag force. The collision between filter materials also intensifies the mechanical force on the fibers in the water. The irregular shape of the filter material causes it to rotate under the backwashing water flow, enhancing the force on the filter material during backwashing. The combined effect of these forces makes solid particles attached to the fiber surface easy to fall off, thereby improving the cleanliness of the filter material.

High filtration accuracy: The removal rate of suspended solids in water can reach over 95%, and it has a certain removal effect on impurities such as large molecular organic matter, viruses, bacteria, colloids, and iron;

Fast filtration speed: generally 40m/h, up to 60m/h, which is more than three times that of ordinary sand filters;

Large pollutant carrying capacity: generally 15-35kg/m3, which is more than 4 times that of ordinary sand filters;

Low backwash water consumption rate: The backwash water consumption is less than 1-2% of the periodic filtration water consumption;

Low dosage and low operating costs: Due to the structure of the filter bed and the characteristics of the filter material itself, the dosage of flocculant is 1/2-1/3 of the conventional technology. The increase in periodic water production leads to a reduction in operating costs per ton of water;

Small footprint: To produce the same amount of water, the footprint is less than one-third of that of a regular sand filter.
