Type Description

The 8746 gas mass flow controller (MFC)/gas mass flow meter (MFM) used for gases is suitable for a wide range of application scenarios, such as metal and glass production or processing, fermentation processes, testing benches or filling production lines and packaging machines. The 8746 model offers two variants: a version with different analog and digital (communication) interfaces, and a version with a fully CANopen based interface. The second version is suitable for integration into existing CANopen networks, or - in combination with B ü rkert fieldbus gateways - into all current standard industrial Ethernet or fieldbus. This version is tailored for applications with multiple control segments. A fieldbus gateway can connect up to 32 MFCs/MFMs. The gateway will transmit internal communication based on CANopen to industrial Ethernet or fieldbus standards. The mass flow controller/flowmeter can switch between b ü S and CANopen communication at any time. The 8746 model can be configured as MFM or MFC as needed. (Optional) The device can store up to four calibration curves. The thermal embedded sensor directly located in the total current achieves fast response time and high measurement accuracy in long-term stable calibration. B ü rkert's direct acting solenoid proportional valve or engine valve ensures high sensitivity as an actuator. The integrated PI regulator ensures excellent control performance of MFC. The 8746 model has the characteristic of low pressure loss even at high flow rates, and is particularly suitable for use in harsh environments due to its high IP protection level and explosion resistance.
