The Somag gyro stabilization platform NSM 400 is a recently launched high-precision stabilization platform by the German company SOMAG Jena. It is a medium-sized platform between the RSM400 and OSM4000. The NSM 400 adopts an electronic balance system and a digital control system, which can stabilize the pitch and roll of vehicles caused by non flat terrain, as well as compensate for the angle tilt of ships, buoys and other marine tools caused by waves, ensuring that the surveying, scanning, imaging and other instruments and equipment carried on the platform obtain stable and high-precision data or images.
The NSM 400 has a built-in gyroscope that allows the balance ring to work automatically and independently. NSM400 can process external ship data (NEMA format) or IMU data, providing residual bias performance during long-term application. The NSM400 gyroscope platform has excellent hydraulic balancing capability and can achieve a peak torque of 350Nm. High torque can maintain good installation performance even in harsh environments, especially suitable for applications in marine ship borne equipment and land platforms. The maximum weight that can be carried is 65kg. IP67 waterproof rating, can be equipped with various types of ocean or ground thermal imaging scanners, thermal imaging cameras, infrared cameras, hyperspectral cameras, infrared cameras, LiDAR, antennas and other devices.
