Product features:
Correction of errors caused by differences in thermal conductivity between sensors and surrounding media, temperature fluctuations, and slight sensor instability
Compatible with most Campbell Scientific data loggers
The Van den Bos Hoeksma self calibration method is used to provide high measurement accuracy
Technical Description:
HFP01SC includes a thermopile and a thin film heater. Thermopile is used to measure the temperature gradient across the sensor board. During in-situ field calibration, the heater generates heat flux through the sensor board, and its power is measured by the data collector; The data collector simultaneously measures the response signal of the sensor and calculates to generate a new calibration constant. At the factory, each heat flux plate sensor is calibrated separately to output heat flux.
Self calibration corrects errors caused by differences in thermal conductivity between the sensor and the surrounding medium, temperature changes, and slight sensor instability.
