The hardness of water refers to the concentration of calcium and magnesium ions in water, calculated from the concentration of EDTA standard solution cEDTA and the consumed volume V1 (mL). Calculated as CaO or CaCO3, in mg/L.

The WTF2000 Hard hardness online water quality analyzer adopts complexometric titration method for analysis, with a detection range standard of 0-500mg/L, which can be customized according to the actual water sample. The analyzer titrates EDTA standard reagent into the water sample until the solution changes from burgundy to pure blue, which is the endpoint of titration. The instrument automatically calculates the concentration of calcium and magnesium ions in the water sample based on the built-in curve; If there is a small amount of zinc ions in the water sample, β - aminoethanethiol needs to be added for masking.
