GX5960 series: high-performance 50MHz dynamic digital I/O PXI subsystem
overviewThe GX5960 digital subsystem represents the highest performance level based on PXI digital instruments. Based on the validated architecture of GX5055 and EADS T964, GX5960 offers high-performance pin electronics and timing generator/sequencer, with a compact 6U PXI form factor. The GX5960 includes a GX5961 clock generator board with 16 channels for driving and sensing, and a GX5964 digital I/O board with 32 bidirectional channels for driving/sensing. The GX52960 digital subsystem can support up to 528 digital I/O channels. Each digital channel has a wide driving/sensing voltage range of -15V to+25V (maximum swing of 26 volts), allowing for individual programming of drivers, drivers, sensing signals, sensing signals, and load values (with commutation voltage levels) - providing users with complete flexibility when creating test programs and fixtures for multiple UUTs. In addition, each channel provides a parameter measurement unit (PMU) for DC measurement. application

characteristic GX5960 provides real-time digital stimulation, recording, and expected data patterns for each channel. The storage depth of the pattern is 256K words. In each loop, channels can be set as inputs or outputs. Supports 6 driver data formats: NR,R1,R0,RZ, And supplementary surround - providing flexibility to create various bus cycles and waveforms for testing board and box level products. GX5961 provides timing, input/output synchronization signals, sorting, and 16 I/O channels. In addition, channels can be added to the system by installing one or more GX5964 boards interconnected through PXI local and trigger buses. GX5961 provides a flexible clock system that allows modules to operate as timing hosts for UUT, or be driven to UUT's time base or other external clocks. All pin electronic resources are independent on a channel by channel basis - providing users with complete flexibility in programming driver/sensing levels, source/sink currents, conversion rates, offsets, or PMU functionality. PMU can operate in forced voltage/measurement current or forced current/measurement voltage mode and can be used to measure the DC characteristics of UUT. In addition, each I/O channel contains an analog bus relay, which allows each channel to support mixed channel (digital or analog) measurement functionality. For simulating stimulus/response measurements, the analog bus can be connected to external resources through a dedicated analog bus connector located on the front panel of the module. |
Data sequencerThe sequencer of GX5961 supports sequences with up to 4096 step sizes and can nest 16 loop counters. The sequencer supports various sorting functions, including jumps, subroutines, loops, and test inputs. You can use a graphic vector editor, Windows ® API commands or programming all sequencer commands through scripting languages. The sequencer allows users to generate test vectors indefinitely at the maximum testing rate. There are multiple modes for triggering and pausing commands both internally and externally. clock generatorThe timing generator of GX5961 supports 256 timing settings, up to 4 driving stages, and 4 detection windows can be used for 4K sequence steps. The alternative timing set configuration includes 1K 4-phase timing groups and 4 sensing windows or 4K timing groups with 1-phase and 1-phase windows. The T0 cycle or sequencer cycle range can be programmed from 20 ns to 64 us, and the phase and window values can be programmed from 0 ns to 64 us. This flexibility enables users to handle a wide range of applications, including simulating complex bus cycles and proprietary digital interfaces. |
compatibilityThe GX5960 subsystem can run in any 6U PXI chassis that supports 20 cfm/slot airflow. The power supply for pin electronic devices requires an external power source, or the GX5960 can be used with the Marvin Test Solutions GX7005A/GX7015A PXI chassis, which is designed for high-performance/high-power digital applications and includes the necessary pin electronic power supply. |
softwareThe board is provided with GtDio6x, including vector editing, virtual instrument panel, and 32/64 bit DLL driver library and documentation. The virtual panel can be used for interactive programming to display the current configuration and status of the instrument through the instrument control program. In addition, various interface files can access the instrument's functional library for programming tools and languages such as ATEasy, C / C ++,Microsoft VisualBasic ®, Pascal, Delphi, and LabVIEW. The online help file and PDF user guide provide instructions for installing, using, and programming the board. Other optional software packages can be used to support importing CASS digital TPS or IEEE-1445. tap files. |
