CONTROS HydroFIA ® The pH measuring instrument is a pH navigation measuring instrument designed specifically for measuring seawater and brackish water environments. It is an autonomous pH measurement system, and its optimized design enables high-precision pH measurement without calibration. The instrument can be used independently in the laboratory or integrated into existing measurement systems such as the Volunteer Observation Ship (VOS).
working principle
CONTROS HydroFIA ® The pH meter uses the principle of indicator color change to determine the pH value of water, based on the color change of m-cresol purple indicator with the pH value of the water sample. During each measurement, a small amount of m-cresol purple indicator is injected into the sample, and then the visible absorption spectrum of the indicator is measured using the built-in spectrophotometer of the instrument. The pH value of the sample is determined by the quantitative relationship between the absorption spectrum and the pH value of seawater.

The instrument adopts a user-friendly design, and once the indicator reagent of the measuring instrument is exhausted, the reagent kit can be easily and quickly replaced. In addition, due to the low sample consumption, CONTROS HydroFIA ® A pH meter can be used to measure the pH value of small volume samples.
