Required materials: One piece of plant root material infected with root knot nematodes, or about 100g of infected soil.

If the sample is a plant crop, use a knife to directly chop the sample into soybean sized chunks, and then transfer them to a cup or bowl. If it is a soil sample, it can be directly placed in the cup or bowl, and water can be added to cover the sample. Water should not be too much, let it stand for more than three hours. It can be observed.

Before observation, take a cup, place a filter paper on it, and slowly pour the soaking solution of the sample into the filter paper until a small amount of liquid remains in the center of the filter paper. Stop filtering and transfer the residual liquid in the filter paper to a clean cup as the liquid to be observed.

3. Turn on the nematode detection device.

4. Use a straw to draw a drop of the liquid to be observed onto a glass slide, cover it with a cover slip, and then transfer it to the center of the device.

5. Adjust the direction of the device up, down, left, and right to clearly observe whether there are nematodes in the sample.
