In a horizontal well, due to gravity, the casing is biased towards the lower end of the wellbore, resulting in a thin or even non-existent cement sheath at the lower end of the casing, which leads to poor cementing quality in this area. Hydraulic (hydraulic) centralizer, the centralizer arm is compressed layer by layer like an antenna when entering the well, so that the outer diameter of the centralizer is small and easy to enter the well.
When the centralizer is lowered to the predetermined position in the well, the pressure inside the casing causes the centralizer arm to expand outward, achieving the effect of centralizing the casing and improving the quality of cementing.
Due to the large number of supporting arms, effective surface area, and high thrust, a slight pressure can easily lift the casing and achieve the supporting effect. At the same time, due to the fact that the outer diameter of the stabilizer can be larger than the inner diameter of the previous casing, it can also achieve the effect of stabilizing the wellbore with expanded diameter. At the same time, the stabilizer can also serve to fix the casing by inserting the stabilizer arm into the formation.
