Introduction to some main functions

Grayscale processing through video boundary detector
The video signal is divided into 256 levels of grayscale. NEXIV detects boundaries based on the grayscale change rate of the workpiece image, which can effectively suppress the influence of lighting changes on boundary detection;
The boundary position is detected at the sub-pixel level.
Improved boundary detection performance using Nikon's unique algorithm
Due to the use of Nikon's proprietary boundary detection algorithm (all patented), it is now possible to perform boundary detection with excellent accuracy at low magnification, allowing for the detection of tiny low contrast boundaries that are difficult to achieve using ordinary image processing techniques;

The operator inputs parameters such as starting point, ending point, direction, and step size for contour measurement, and NEXIV will automatically complete the measurement of the specified contour. Support contour scanning measurement using axial equidistant contour measurement, sagittal equidistant contour measurement, and circumferential equidistant contour measurement methods.

Support TP measurement
If you have also purchased the contact probe TP20/200 from Renishaw UK and its necessary accessories (including the TP version of VMA Automeasure) for VMA2520, you can also perform contact measurement on the workpiece and support star shaped probe measurement. Support CAD online measurement programming
By importing CAD data of workpieces (IGES, DXF, Gerber, Excellon, etc.), operators can display their CAD graphics in the CAD feature diagram window of NEXIV VMR Auto Measure, which helps improve the efficiency of measurement programming and shorten programming time.
The operator can double-click a certain position on the workpiece drawing in the CAD form with the mouse to quickly move the stage to that position;
NEXIV VMR AutoMeasure can utilize CAD graphic features to automatically create its measurement statements.

Support DDE output
By using the DDE connection function, the measured data can be transmitted in real-time to a spreadsheet, enabling real-time statistical analysis. The objects sent for measurement include Microsoft Excel, SPC-PC IV, SPC-PC IV Excel, etc.
