1、 Overview
Inclined tube sedimentation tank

It refers to a sedimentation tank with inclined pipes in the sedimentation zone. In the sedimentation zone of a horizontal or vertical sedimentation tank, inclined parallel pipes or pipelines (sometimes honeycomb packing can be used) are used to divide into a series of shallow sedimentation layers. The treated and settled sediment moves and separates from each other in the shallow sedimentation layers. According to their mutual motion directions, they can be divided into three different separation methods: reverse (opposite) flow, same direction flow, and reverse flow. Every two parallel inclined plates (or inside parallel pipes) is equivalent to a very shallow sedimentation tank.

The inclined pipe settler is a component of inclined pipes installed above the suspended layer of sludge, with an inclination angle of 60 degrees. Suspended solids, solids, or flocs formed by adding coagulants in the raw water aggregate into a thin layer of sludge on the bottom surface of the inclined pipe. It slides back to the suspended layer of sludge by gravity and then sinks into the sludge collection hopper. It is discharged into the sludge tank through the discharge pipe for further treatment or comprehensive utilization. The supernatant gradually rises to the collection pipe and can be discharged directly or reused.
The inclined tube settler is made based on the sedimentation principle of removing fractional particles in a horizontal sedimentation tank. By adding inclined tubes in the tank, the hydraulic radius is reduced while increasing the wet circumference of the water passage section of the tank. Therefore, when the water flow rate V is the same, the Reynolds number Re can be greatly reduced, thereby reducing storage and promoting sedimentation. In addition, adding inclined tubes can also shorten the sedimentation distance of particles, reduce sedimentation time, and improve sedimentation efficiency.
