Detailed information on the Italian DOSSENA insulation monitoring instrument:
Italian DOSSENA Insulation Monitoring Instrument
Insulation monitoring instrument (detector)The insulation status of DC systems, single-phase and three-phase low-voltage systems is mainly monitored continuously online through the grounding neutral point.
For systems with a grounded neutral point, there is no need to interrupt power supply in the event of grounding faults and leakage, but according to EC standard 64.8, faults must be alerted through visual or audible signals. There is also a TEST button for control.

DOSSENA's insulation monitoring device can be used in both medical and industrial equipment.
The DOSSENA medical insulation detector is suitable for hospitals, diagnosis and treatment rooms, and doctor's studios. In general, all power systems within the medical scope that must maintain continuous power supply even in the event of a ground fault require the use of insulation monitoring devices. In fact, the interruption prompt of the minimum critical value can prompt medical staff to take action, thereby re establishing a normal state and eliminating the cause of the malfunction. This product can provide different types to meet different requirements in the medical field.
The DOSSENA industrial insulation monitoring instrument can inspect the grounding insulation status of AC generators, medium and low voltage secondary coils, generator sets, supply furnaces, and all other purposes, ensuring uninterrupted power supply in case of grounding faults at any time.
DOSSENA medical insulation monitoring instrument models include: SRI/HX, ASR I/V2, ASR I/01M
SRI/HX is a medical insulation monitoring device installed on 6DIN rail modules for 230V lines. It helps hospitals and clinics control the insulation status of their low-voltage lines (230VAC, 50-60Hz) through a grounded neutral point. Its features include monitoring the insulation state of resistive and capacitive grounding leakage currents, and vector calculation of equivalent impedance. Prevent motor faults by monitoring overcurrent status through external transformers. Monitor the insulation transformer for overheating through an external temperature sensor PT100. Monitor connection status to prevent unexpected line tension.
ASR I/V2 is a medical insulation monitoring device installed on 6DIN rail modules for 24V lines, used to detect ground current loss in 24VDC DC power grids. This device provides constant and uninterrupted control over the insulation state. This type of power grid is insulated through insulated transformers in the main distribution room. Constant and uninterrupted monitoring can meet the standard specifications of medical power grids (surgical lights have the highest electricity consumption).
The DOSSENA industrial insulation tester models include SRI/MI, SRI/M2
SRI/MI is an insulation monitoring instrument installed on a 96 * 96 * 70 panel, with a trip value adjustable between 1-50 kiloohms. Control the insulation of single-phase or three-phase power grids through the neutral point of ground wire insulation. The working principle is to measure the voltage connection between the power grid and the ground. SRI/MI measures the device current absorbed by the voltage connection. The measured voltage current ratio can be used to calculate the effective value of insulation resistance. Suggest connecting the neutral point and ground through the dossena overvoltage limiter LT4. When the low-voltage coil of the transformer is delta or cannot approach the neutral line, the overvoltage limiter LT4 can be connected between the phase and ground lines.
SRI/MI is an insulation monitoring instrument installed on a 96 * 96 * 70 panel, with a trip value adjustable between 50-300 kiloohms.
SRI/D2 is an insulation tester installed on 2 DIN rails, with a trip value adjustable between 50-300 kiloohms. Control the insulation of single-phase or three-phase power grids by grounding the neutral point. The working principle is to use a constant voltage between the controlled circuit and the grounding connection. The ratio between the voltage and the measured current determines the true insulation resistance value.
SRI/D3 is an insulation tester installed on 2 DIN rails with alarm function, and the trip value can be adjusted between 50-300 kiloohms. It is different from SRI/D2 in that it has dual intervention thresholds and two switch output contacts. The two thresholds can be adjusted through two independent potentiometers. *A pre alarm threshold is set to warn users in case of ground wire leakage to prevent irreversible faults. The second threshold, like other insulation detectors in Dossena, detects whether the insulation resistance value in the system is higher than the set threshold. The alarm state will continue until the user manually resets the device.
New product: SRI3/SOL is an insulation monitoring instrument developed by Italian DOSSENA specifically for the photovoltaic field. Due to its ability to adapt to functional interruptions caused by inverters, it can avoid faults and accidental tripping. The use of SRI3/SOL insulation monitoring devices can overcome transition moments associated with sudden changes in light or typical unstable operation of photovoltaic systems in the morning or evening. To address these issues, the insulation monitoring device can perform specific cyclic measurements. The device will only intervene when the results of all measurement cycles are below the set threshold. The device has two intervention thresholds, one is warning and the other is alarm.
The newly developed model SRI3HFL can detect branches and replace similar products of Bendel BENDER
