This instrument is a multi-layer tipping bucket sensor, and its performance complies with the national standard GB/T11832-2002 "tipping bucket rain gauge", and the China Meteorological Administration's "Guidelines for Meteorological Instruments and Observation Methods" (Sixth Edition) and related requirements.

This instrument adopts two inventions (No.: ZL.5;. 1) A bidirectional flap device and a cascade controlled release funnel for smoothing rainfall intensity have been installed above the measuring hopper, effectively improving the quality of precipitation data observation.

This instrument can be connected to a data collector or computer for various types of meteorological stations, hydrological stations, and rainfall observation stations to accurately measure the start and end time, cumulative precipitation, and precipitation intensity of precipitation.
