The size and distribution of pore size are important physical parameters that reflect the performance of filter materials, and are closely related to the filtration accuracy and permeability of filter materials. The bubble point method is a fast and effective method for determining the pore size of filter media (mostly membrane materials). The JW-PD200 aperture analyzer is a unique testing instrument with a wide range of applications, suitable for analyzing applications such as ultrafiltration membranes, filter membranes, filter papers, microporous screens, non-woven materials, textile materials, sintered polymers, and metal porous materials.


The JW-PD200 membrane pore size analyzer is mainly composed of precision components such as digital mass flow meter, pressure sensor, solenoid valve, and steady flow valve in the main unit. It is equipped with an external vacuum infiltration instrument and precision testing components, and data acquisition, recording, and analysis are automatically completed by the Lavbiew platform. Its main functions include: breathability testing, bubble pressure testing, pore throat diameter testing, orifice diameter testing, as well as * * pore size, average pore size, pore size distribution testing, etc.

Breathability test

——The relative permeability coefficient K is commonly used to measure the ability of porous materials to pass through gas. Accurately measuring the flow rate Q and pressure difference ∆ P of gas passing through the dried sample can calculate the relative permeability coefficient of the sample with a known test area size A (K ∆ Q/A * ∆ P). Breathability testing can be used for air tightness testing of membrane materials.

Bubble point pressure and pore size testing
