JWfishers Side Scan Sonar

SSS-600KType side scan sonarCapable of obtaining high-resolution images within a coverage range of 200 feet (60.96 meters) on one side (400 feet on both sides). It is very suitable for searching for smaller targets or softer objects on the seabed. Its applications include searching for old wooden debris, fragments, clothing, drowning victims, and various other targets. It can also locate large targets within its coverage area. The SSS-600K model is widely used in judicial agencies, diving rescue groups, and the military.

SSS-100KType side scan sonarIt has a larger coverage area, but its resolution is low. Its coverage range on one side reaches 1500 feet (457.2 meters) and on both sides reaches 4000 feet, making it particularly suitable for searching sunken ships. It can also locate smaller targets such as outboard motors, ship anchors, sleds, large propellers, and other smaller but harder targets. In addition to common applications such as locating sunken ships, SSS-100K is also commonly used to search for vehicles submerged in lakes and rivers, search for crashed planes, and search for underwater pipelines.

Other companies' side scan sonars require different towed fish to provide different frequencies, while our dual frequency side scan sonar's towed fish is equipped with both high-frequency and low-frequency transducers, which means that one towed fish can provide both high-frequency and low-frequency sound pulses simultaneously. When searching for small or "soft" targets, use 600K; Search for large targets and select 100K. At any time during the search, the frequency can be switched at any time.
Our towing fish design can meet the maximum stability requirements, so surface waves and ship turbulence have little impact on the quality of transmitted and received signals. Dragging fish can work at any drag speed, but speeds of 1-3 knots can provide the most information and the best image quality.
