This instrument is widely used to measure the viscosity of paints/coatings and meets the ASTM D562 standard.
Features and advantages
- Continuous sensing and Krebs unit, gram, and centipoise display functions
- Magnetic rotor connection.
- The required consistency can be determined through rapid sample measurement.
- LED digital display information: Krebs units (increased resolution in increments of 0.1KU), grams (in grams), centipoise (cP)
- Extended measurement range (40-141 KU; 32-1099 g; 27-5274 cP).
- ± 1% of full scale.
- The reproducibility is ± 0.5% of the full scale.
- Output automatic test file parallel printer.
- Easy to use, lightweight, and simplifies the existing testing process.
- Compliant with industry standard (ASTM D562).
- The base is suitable for standard pint, half pint, and quart sample cans.
- The optional paste rotor is suitable for high viscosity materials, such as roller milled paste.
The standard paint industry sample tank is clamped by a fixture on the base of the viscometer, and the sample is tested in the sample tank. The sample tank can hold up to 3/4 '(20 millimeters). The KU-3 operating lever can be in two positions:
Above: The rotor is stationary and the drive motor is turned off
Below: rotor rotation; During sample measurement
The HOLD conversion key can be pressed at any time to control the display reading. The viscometer has a HOLD key configuration function, which can convert the display to compare Krebs unit (KU) readings, gram unit readings, and centipoise unit readings.
