The LL series waist wheel flowmeter is a volumetric flow measurement instrument that can be used to continuously measure the volumetric flow rate of liquid flowing through pipelines. Its working principle is that when the measured liquid flows through the measuring chamber, a pressure difference is formed at the inlet and outlet of the flowmeter, and the waist wheel rotates under the push of this pressure difference (see Figure a, b, c, d). Simultaneously, by fixing a pair of driving gears on the waist wheel shaft, the two waist wheels are kept in continuous rotation. The number of rotations, through gear transmission and sealed reduction mechanism, drives the counter and pointer to rotate, thereby displaying the volume of flow through the flowmeter.

It is one of the typical products of volumetric flow meters. Widely used in the measurement of gasoline, kerosene, light diesel and other oil products in departments such as petrochemicals, electricity, metallurgy, transportation, national defense, and commerce.

LL type waist wheel flowmeter is a volumetric flow measurement instrument used to measure the volumetric flow rate of fluids in closed pipes.
On site display of accumulated flow rate, with remote transmission output interface, matched with corresponding photoelectric pulse converter and flow integrator, can be used for remote measurement, display and control.
High precision, good repeatability, large range, and low requirements for the straight pipe sections before and after the flowmeter.
Suitable for fluids with higher viscosity, changes in fluid viscosity have little impact on the displayed values.

When the measured liquid flows through the measuring chamber, a differential pressure is formed at the inlet end of the flowmeter. Under this pressure, the waist wheel rotates, and at the same time, the two waist wheels exchange driving rotation through a pair of driving gears fixed on the waist wheel shaft. Since the volume of the measuring chamber is a fixed value, the flow rate of the measured liquid is proportional to the number of waist wheel revolutions, and is transmitted to the counter through a variable speed mechanism of the transmission ratio. The cumulative value of the counter is the volume flow rate of the measured liquid during a certain period of time.
