1、 Performance Overview
LX-F sponge hardness tester is specially customized by our factory in order to facilitate customers to measure the hardness of foam materials. It is suitable for measuring the hardness of soft foam materials and polyurethane foam rubber products. This hardness tester is different from other hardness testers in terms of measurement use. In use, the presser foot directly contacts the sample and uses its own weight as the force load.
2、 Main performance parameters
Needle stroke range: 0-2.5 millimeters;
Scale value: 0-100 degrees;
Needle end force: 550mN~4300mN (56-438.5g).
3、 Usage:
In the middle of the handheld instrument, gently place the hardness tester on a flat specimen (or test piece) larger than the pressure foot. When the pressure foot of the hardness tester comes into stable contact with the specimen, the reading should be taken within 1 second. At this time, the scale pointed by the pointer is the hardness value of the tested specimen (test piece). In order to improve measurement accuracy, the sample should be placed on a flat glass or plate, and each measurement point can only be measured once. There should be no less than 5 measurement points on different parts of the same sample that are more than 25mm apart. The average of the measurement results is the hardness value of the sample material.
4、 Precautions
When the hardness tester foot is in a free state, the pointer displays "0", and the end face of the indenter is in close contact with the surface of the foot on the glass plate. The pointer should display "100". If the hardness tester pointer cannot display "0" and "100" during inspection, it needs to be adjusted to "0" and "100" before use.
5、 Sample and adjustment
(1) The thickness of the sample should be between 25mm and 30mm: when the thickness is less than 25mm, two pieces can be stacked on top of each other, but the contact surface must be smooth and flat, and the total thickness should still comply with the sample thickness regulations.
(2) The sample size should meet the requirement that both the length and width are greater than 100mm, the distance between the measuring point and the edge of the sample should not be less than 40mm, the distance between each measuring point should not be less than 25mm, and there should be no less than 5 measuring points for each sample.
(3) Remove the skin on both sides of the sample, ensuring uniform thickness, smooth surface, even distribution of micropores, and no mechanical damage or impurities.
(4) The sample adjustment and test environment conditions shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T2941-91.
After using the hardness tester, put it into the instrument box and place it in a dry place to prevent moisture.
