  Basic technical characteristics of large-scale medical purified water equipment

(1) The system adopts fully automatic control (manual control can also be used), and automatic backwashing and regeneration programs can be set during system operation.

(2) The first and second stage reverse osmosis systems are equipped with reflux pipelines, and the reverse osmosis equipment is equipped with chemical cleaning and disinfection devices.

(3) A pH adjustment device is installed between the first and second stage reverse osmosis to ensure that the conductivity of the equipment's produced water meets the requirements of the pharmacopoeia.

(4) The secondary reverse osmosis membrane adopts a positively charged anti fouling reverse osmosis membrane to ensure the long-term stable operation of the reverse osmosis equipment.

(5) The first stage reverse osmosis pipeline is made of 304 stainless steel material, and the second stage reverse osmosis is made of 316L stainless steel material.

Compared with the traditional distillation method, the new process based on reverse osmosis combined with new electrodeionization (EDI) technology has obvious advantages and progressiveness.

1. Efficient and energy-saving. The distillation method has a long history in the preparation of pharmaceutical water, mainly including multi-stage distillation, high-pressure fractional distillation, and centrifugal purification distillation. All distillation methods are carried out at a high temperature of 120 ° C, so completely sterile water can be obtained. Therefore, the energy consumption during operation is quite high, and at the same time, due to the high temperature, all equipment components must withstand high temperature shocks, resulting in high equipment costs and maintenance expenses. The HPW process adopts a very mature reverse osmosis technology, combined with efficient ozone disinfection methods. The entire system operates at room temperature and low pressure, with low equipment investment, low operation and maintenance costs, and reliable energy saving. The operating cost of membrane treatment method is only 12-15% of distillation method, which is very economical and competitive.

2. Stable and reliable. With the continuous acceleration of industrialization, the discharge of large and complex waste has made global pollution increasingly severe, among which water resource pollution is more severe than before. Volatile organic pollutants have boiling points that are mostly lower than the vaporization temperature of water. Without treatment, they can easily enter the produced water during the distillation process. Simple distillation methods cannot effectively remove them, and filtration methods such as activated carbon adsorption must be relied on, which increases the instability of the system and water quality. The membrane process uses a multi-media filter for pretreatment; The microporous permeable working principle of reverse osmosis membrane ensures the removal of all larger ions and molecules in the water, and can easily remove volatile organic pollutants with larger molecular diameters, fundamentally ensuring that the organic matter indicators meet the pharmacopoeia requirements.

3. Advanced environmental protection. The membrane combined process has become the mainstream of pharmaceutical water production technology in the world today, replacing traditional pure distillation methods. In recent years, the emergence of Continuous Electrodeionization (CEDI) technology, which represents the high-tech level of pharmaceutical water preparation process, has prompted the traditional ion exchange technology associated with waste acid and alkali pollution to be abandoned in the pharmaceutical water preparation process, enabling the system to achieve fully automatic computer control, continuous production, and safety without pollution. The fundamental of CEDI technology is the clever combination of traditional ion exchange and electrodialysis techniques: under the action of an electric field, ions in the anion and cation exchange resins undergo directional migration, and the migrated ion holes are filled by anions and cations in water, thereby achieving resin polishing and regeneration while anions and cations move towards the ion permeable membrane; The ions passing through the selective osmosis membrane will be trapped in a channel called the "concentrated water chamber" and discharged together with the "concentrated water". The resin usage of the CEDI system is only 5% of that of traditional mixed beds, making it economically efficient. Meanwhile, due to the weak electrical properties of most gases dissolved in water, such as carbon dioxide, CEDI can effectively remove them; Especially Gram negative bacteria that have a significant impact on pharmaceutical water use carry negative charges and will be adsorbed on the surface of cation exchange resins, thus being in the active hydrolysis zone and completely killed.
