Cable oscillation wave partial discharge detection system

purpose
In the power system, existing preventive voltage withstand tests for cables cannot detect insulation hazards caused by minor insulation defects in cables. Long term practice has proven that partial discharge is the main cause of insulation damage in power cables after operation. Therefore, conducting partial discharge testing on cables is a better method for detecting the insulation condition of cables. At present, OWTS oscillation wave cable partial discharge detection and positioning technology is widely used internationally. Based on this theory, our company innovatively uses AC variable frequency high-voltage source to develop a new cable oscillation wave partial discharge testing system, which has independent intellectual property rights.

Compared with existing preventive voltage withstand testing techniques, it can non destructively detect minor quality defects in cables in a timely manner, especially insulation defects caused by inadequate on-site joint manufacturing processes, and determine the location of the defects to prevent operational safety accidents caused by safety hazards during operation. Cable condition assessment can be conducted on-site to scientifically determine whether the cable needs to be supervised, repaired, or replaced with a new cable.
• Adopting AC chargingME-OWTS10(35)The principle of the system device is superior to existing DC technologies at home and abroad, avoiding the "false partial discharge" effect of cables that may be caused by DC charging. More in line with the insulation material characteristics of XLPE cables, and can better test the partial discharge of old operating cables.
Based on the partial discharge point information data, the partial discharge starting voltage (PDIV) and larger discharge capacity (PDMax) of each phase cable can be determined and recorded in the report, in order to establish a line profile and quickly and accurately understand the operation status of the cable in the future.
Practice has proved that the oscillation wave method cable partial discharge positioning (OWTS) testing equipment has good detection effects on the quality of the cable body, accessories, joint technology, etc.
