MEYN-901 kinematic viscosity tester is a specialized testing instrument designed and manufactured according to the national standard GB265-88 Petroleum Product Kinematic Viscosity Determination Method, suitable for measuring the kinematic viscosity of liquid petroleum products. The kinematic viscosity tester has a timer for measuring the sample's movement time and automatically calculates the final result of the kinematic viscosity. This method is suitable for determining the kinematic viscosity of liquid petroleum products (referring to Newtonian liquids), with the unit of m2/s, usually used in practice as mm2/s. The dynamic viscosity can be obtained by multiplying the measured kinematic viscosity by the density of the liquid. This method measures the time it takes for a certain volume of liquid to flow through a calibrated glass capillary viscometer under gravity at a constant temperature. The product of the capillary constant of the viscometer and the flow time is the measured kinematic viscosity of the liquid at that temperature. The product of the kinematic viscosity at that temperature and the density of the liquid at the same temperature is the dynamic viscosity at that temperature.
