In the research experiment, pressure measurement is divided into three categories
1. Indirect pressure measurement (such as tail sleeve method). Disadvantages: unable to accurately measure diastolic blood pressure, unable to continuously measure blood pressure
2. Direct pressure measurement method using liquid filled conduit. Disadvantages: Bubbles affect the results, changes in the height of the pressure sensor affect the results, slow frequency response and noise generation
3. Quickly respond to solid-state sensor catheter pressure measurement (Scisense catheter). It can accurately measure the pressure at the location of interest. Easy to use.
Scisense Inc. is the only company in the world that can provide a 1.2F diameterSolid pressure sensorAccording to the paper by Woldbaek et al. (Am J Physiol Heart Circ Physiol 285: H2233-H2239, 2003), this is the most ideal experimental tool for mouse experiments. The commonly used 1.4F catheter in previous experiments actually affects arterial blood flow and other hemodynamic parameters. However, for diameters less than 1.2F, its advantages are not obvious, and its service life will be shortened.
As is well known, mouse models are increasingly being used in cardiovascular research. The Scisense microsensor is not only durable but also easy to use. Its professional design is particularly suitable for assisting in transgenic and gene targeting operations in genomic mice.
These pressure sensors have a tip with a diameter of 0.39 millimeters. Connected to the tip is a smaller 0.9F polyimide catheter (0.29mm diameter) that minimizes vascular obstruction and provides optimal flexibility.
For rats, we provide pressure sensors with the same high precision and connect them to a catheter with a diameter of 1.6F. To provide a wider range of flexibility and durability, we offer conduits in various sizes from 1.2F to 7F. Can be used forMouse, rat, rabbit, dog, pigWaiting for various animals. And use polyimide or nylon material. The length of the catheter can also be selected as 66 centimeters or a custom length.

pressure control unit
The pressure control unit used in the pressure conduit includes a signal collector and an amplification circuit to provide an analog pressure signal and output it to any third-party data acquisition system. The output signal is outputted through a standard BNC interface and an 8-pole 300Hz filter suitable for high-frequency noise suppression. |
