Structure principle and characteristics of NDJ-1 rotary viscometer
1. The instrument is rotated at a stable speed by a stepper motor, connected to a dial, and driven by a balance spring and a shaft to rotate the rotor. If the rotor is not subjected to liquid resistance, the balance spring, pointer, and dial rotate at the same speed, and the pointer indicates a reading of "0" on the dial. On the contrary, if the rotor is subjected to the viscous resistance of the liquid, the balance spring generates torque, which counteracts the viscous resistance and finally reaches equilibrium. At this time, the pointer connected to the balance spring indicates a certain reading on the dial (i.e. the torsion angle of the balance spring). Multiplying the reading by a specific coefficient gives the viscosity of the liquid.
2. The instrument speed is adjusted by the gear system and clutch through the speed control rotary knob, divided into four speeds, and selected according to the measurement needs.
3. The instrument is equipped with four types of rotors from 1 to 4 or five types of rotors from 0 to 4 according to different specifications (rotor 0 is optional), which can be selected according to the viscosity of the measured liquid and the speed.
4. The instrument is equipped with a pointer fixed control mechanism for accurate reading. When the speed is fast (30 revolutions per minute, 60 revolutions per minute), it is not possible to read during rotation. At this time, gently press the pointer control lever to fix the pointer and turn off the reading.
5. The protective frame is used for stable measurement and protection of the rotor. Using a protective frame for measurement can achieve relatively stable results.
6. The instrument is equipped with a fixed bracket and a lifting mechanism, and is generally used for small and constant temperature measurements in the laboratory. Fix the instrument on the base to ensure measurement accuracy.
7. Rotor 0 is used as a reference measurement when the viscosity is below 20 m · Pas.
8. This instrument has a gear and damping lifting mechanism, ensuring smooth lifting and lowering of the instrument.
