The PW type planar secondary enveloping toroidal worm gear reducer (GB/T16449-1996) has a worm tooth surface with a plane as the mother surface, which envelops the tooth surface of the toroidal worm gear through relative circular motion, and then envelops the tooth surface of the worm gear through relative motion with the tooth surface of the worm gear as the generatrix, called a planar secondary enveloping toroidal worm gear pair. It includes three types: PWU, PWO, and PWS, suitable for deceleration transmission of mechanical equipment in industries such as metallurgy, mining, lifting, transportation, petroleum, chemical, and construction.

(1) PWU type - worm gear with a secondary enveloping annular worm gear reducer below the worm wheel; (2) PWO type - worm gear on top of the worm wheel in a planar double enveloping toroidal worm gear reducer; (3) PWS type - worm gear on the side plane of the worm wheel, secondary
