Pipeline measurement and testing plan
How to achieve high-speed and accurate measurement of pipe fittings and wire components has always been a problem faced by the pipe bending industry. Traditional measurement methods often lack measurement solutions when encountering elastic pipes, free-form bends, and bends with continuous turns. The Bendingstudio XT absolute arm measuring machine pipeline measurement solution launched by Hexagon has perfectly solved this problem for customers.
This solution combines the advanced laser scanning technology of the absolute arm with the pipeline analysis capabilities of Bendingstudio XT pipeline measurement software. By reconfiguring the software platform, the absolute arm equipped with an integrated scanner becomes a measurement input tool.
The 3D laser scanner integrated with the articulated arm only requires a few quick scans to complete the digital measurement of geometric features of pipes and wires. The measuring arm can be placed at any position that requires measurement, with high flexibility. The system adopts the same innovative software platform as TubeIspect, which can manually collect high-precision scanning data of pipe fittings and wires. By utilizing the integrated RS series laser scanning probe, non-contact and geometric measurements can be quickly completed without any specialized clamping or alignment operations.
Bendingstudio XT absolute arm measurement solution can measure any form or angle of pipe fittings and wire parts, fully suitable for complex pipeline shapes, and can be used for inspection, manufacturing, and reverse engineering applications of pipe fittings and wire. In addition, the system can be directly connected to a CNC pipe bending machine to promptly correct production errors.
