Product details
Ultraviolet radiation can be divided into three wavelength bands based on its biological effects: UV-A (320-400nm), UV-B (275-320nm), and UV-C (200-275nm), as well as the vacuum ultraviolet portion. In water treatment, the UV-C band of ultraviolet light is actually used, in which ultraviolet light with a wavelength around 260nm has been identified as the most effective ultraviolet band for sterilization efficiency.
The ultraviolet sterilizer integrates optics, microbiology, mechanics, chemistry, electronics, fluid mechanics, and other comprehensive sciences. The UV-C ultraviolet light generated by imported and high-quality domestically produced high-efficiency, high-intensity, and long-life UV-C ultraviolet light generation devices is used to irradiate the flowing water. When bacteria, viruses, etc. in water are exposed to sufficient doses of UV-C ultraviolet light (wavelength 253.7nm). The DNA and structure of its cells are destroyed, and cell regeneration cannot proceed, thus achieving the disinfection and purification effect of water. Ultraviolet light with a wavelength of 185nm can also decompose organic molecules in water, generating hydrogen radicals and oxidizing organic molecules in water to CO2And H2O, And achieve the effect of removing TOC.
IIAdvantages of UV disinfection equipment:
1. Efficient sterilization rate: Ultraviolet radiation can generally achieve a sterilization rate of 99% -99.9% for bacteria and viruses in one to two seconds.
2. Efficient and broad-spectrum sterilization: The broad-spectrum sterilization of ultraviolet radiation is currently the highest, and it has an efficient killing effect on almost all bacteria and viruses.
3. No secondary pollution: UV sterilization does not require the addition of any chemical agents, so it will not cause secondary pollution to water bodies and the surrounding environment. Do not change any components in the water.
4. Safe and environmentally friendly operation: Traditional disinfection techniques such as using chlorides or ozone, whose disinfectants themselves are highly toxic and flammable substances. The ultraviolet disinfection system does not have such safety hazards.
5. Low cost and operating expenses: UV sterilization equipment has the advantages of small footprint, easy installation, low operating cost, small total investment, and operating cost is half of chlorine disinfection.
3、 Characteristics of UV disinfection equipment
1. Efficient fully automatic mechanical cleaning device (pneumatic cleaning type, hydraulic cleaning type available for users to choose from) ensures that cleaning does not affect the normal operation of the disinfection system and does not require personnel operation
2. A cleaning system powered by water pressure, convenient, fast, environmentally friendly, energy-saving, and noise free
3. External distribution box, which can be placed in separate spaces and compartments for separate operation
4. The whole machine is made of SUS304/316L (optional) stainless steel material, polished both inside and outside, and has the characteristics of high cleanliness, good disinfection effect, environmental protection and hygiene
5. Equipped with a UV intensity monitoring system, it is convenient to monitor the scaling situation of quartz tubes and changes in the intensity of UV lamp use (optional)
6. Equipped with work indicator lights, work fatigue meter, and alarm system (optional)
7. Equipped with high transmittance, imported raw material quartz sleeve and high stability medium/low voltage sterilization lamp tube, with a service life of up to 12000 hours
8. Configure UV specific ballasts to ensure stable operation and prolong the lifespan and efficiency of UV sterilization lamps
4、 Factors affecting the effectiveness of ultraviolet sterilization
The transmittance of ultraviolet radiation (UVT): The main factor affecting the sterilization effect of ultraviolet radiation is the UV transmission or absorption of the sterilization medium (water). The transmittance of ultraviolet radiation and the absorption rate of the medium are influenced by factors such as dissolved organic and inorganic substances, as well as undissolved suspended solids in water.
Total suspended particulate matter (TSS): Suspended particulate matter also has a significant impact on the UV sterilization effect. Suspended particles can absorb and reflect UV radiation, thereby preventing UV radiation from reaching the DNA of bacteria and viruses. In addition, suspended particulate matter can accelerate the scaling and contamination of quartz sleeves, thereby affecting the sterilization effect.
Particle size: The size of particles in water has a significant impact on the effectiveness of ultraviolet sterilization, as large suspended particles can create shadows and blind spots that protect bacteria and viruses. Usually, the effluent from the secondary sedimentation tank is more favorable for UV sterilization, and the average size of suspended particles in the water should be less than 30um.
Exposure time: Exposure time is related to traffic. When designing an ultraviolet system, it is generally designed based on peak direct flow rate. The smaller the flow rate, the longer the exposure time, and the system has a greater effective dose.
