The pneumatic flange butterfly valve consists of a flange butterfly valve and a pneumatic actuator. The butterfly valve body is connected to the pipeline flange at both ends of the flange, which has the advantage of relatively reliable sealing performance. Pneumatic flange butterfly valves can be divided into elastic seals and metal seals according to their sealing forms. Elastic sealing materials include nitrile rubber and fluororubber. Among them, the hard sealing disc valve is a multi-level metal hard seal with the advantages of elastic sealing, which has excellent sealing performance at low temperatures. Compared to clamp type butterfly valves, pneumatic flange butterfly valves have higher pressure resistance and are generally used in high-pressure conditions.

Advantages and Applications of Pneumatic Flange Butterfly Valve:
1. The metal hard sealed butterfly valve can ensure high sealing performance in various temperature ranges from ultra-low temperature to ultra-high temperature.
2. Pneumatic flange butterfly valve actuators are divided into single acting and double acting. Single acting has two forms: normally open and normally closed, which can be reset to the initial state (open or closed) in emergency situations.
3. Valve positioners can be installed to proportionally adjust various parameters of pipeline media, achieving automated control.
4. The fluid resistance is small, and when the pneumatic flange butterfly valve with a medium to large diameter is fully opened, the flow area is large, making it easy to open and close quickly.
5. It is mainly suitable for use as regulating and intercepting equipment in water and pipeline systems of petroleum, metallurgy, chemical, power, petroleum, urban heating systems, as well as corrosive media.

Working principle of pneumatic flange butterfly valve:
The pneumatic flange butterfly valve uses compressed air to enter the actuator, which drives the actuator to rotate the butterfly plate 90 degrees, serving as a pipeline switch and regulating flow. The so-called switch mode control is only used for valve opening and closing. And the regulating control is to install a valve positioner on the pneumatic actuator, input corresponding signals, and adjust the butterfly valve disc from 0 to 90 degrees to achieve control of parameters such as medium flow rate, pressure, temperature, etc. Pneumatic flange butterfly valves have two sealing types: elastic sealing and metal sealing. Elastic sealed butterfly valve, the sealing ring can be embedded on the valve body or attached to the butterfly plate, with excellent sealing performance. The disadvantage is that the defect of temperature limitation is not suitable for high temperature places. Metal sealed butterfly valves can adapt to higher operating temperatures and generally have a longer lifespan than elastic sealed butterfly valves, but it is difficult to achieve complete sealing.
