The pointer type metal tube float flowmeter is a variable area flow meter based on float position measurement. Adopting an all metal structure and modular concept design, it is widely used in various industries for flow measurement and process control under complex and harsh environments, low flow rates, and various harsh medium conditions due to its small size, low pressure loss, large range ratio (10:1), and easy installation and maintenance.

2、 Structural principle of pointer type metal tube float flowmeter

The pointer type metal tube float flowmeter consists of two parts:

Sensors - measuring tubes and floats;

Signal transmitter - indicator;

There are four types of liquid contact materials for sensors: stainless steel, Hastelloy, titanium, and stainless steel lined with PTFE; Users can meet the pressure resistance and medium anti-corrosion needs of the process according to different corner liquid materials. According to different measurement requirements, users can choose different indicator combinations when selecting to achieve different measurement requirements. The measurement of flow is completed by the transmitter inside the indicator, which couples the magnetic steel to sense the change in float position to indicate the flow and transmit the signal remotely. When the measured medium flows through the measuring tube from bottom to top, the float is balanced by the vertical upward pushing force of gravity, buoyancy, and fluid velocity. The float is relatively stationary at a certain position, which varies with the ring area of the float and the cone tube, as well as the fluid velocity. The position of the float corresponds to the flow rate of the measured medium.
