-Working principle:
Silicon dioxide in water samples reacts with molybdate ions under acidic conditions to form silicomolybdate complexes. Add oxalic acid to disrupt phosphate complexes. Add ferrous ammonium sulfate reagent to turn yellow silicomolybdic acid blue, and measure at a wavelength of 815nm to detect the color change of the sample. The depth of the color is proportional to the concentration of silicon dioxide. So using colorimetric analysis can detect and calculate the concentration value of silica.
