TPS-EFF (Transient Plane Source EFusivity) is a portable testing device that complies with ASTM D7984-16 standard and can directly measure the thermal storage rate of textiles and other thermal storage materials. A single measurement lasting 2 to 10 seconds can accurately measure the thermal storage rate of the material. The TPS-EFF portable thermal storage device uses a single-sided TPS sensor with a diameter of 30 mm, which has a short testing time and ensures that the heat flow is active in one dimension. During the measurement process, a constant current source is used to heat the sensor, and the temperature rise and time value of the sample are recorded by monitoring the changes in the resistance of the spiral wire. Use the slope of temperature to time ratio to calculate the material's heat storage rate.
