Precipitation sensor RS85/RS85OP/NRS80
Precipitation sensor RS85/RS85OP/NRS80
Product details
Measurement principle of Eigenbrodt precipitation sensor:
When it rains, the rainwater activates the electrodes on the surface of the sensor, forming an electronic circuit. At this point, an electronic switch is activated and the relay is turned on. The sensitivity of the operation threshold can be adjusted according to the user's needs. When the surface of the sensor dries, the relay is turned off. The timing of relay shutdown depends on the following factors: the current temperature of the sensor, environmental factors, temperature and humidity, wind, etc.
Optional configuration:
Power supply with aluminum casing 220-230 V AC/24 V DC
Galvanized steel column, approximately 1.5 meters high
Flange (for fixing to steel column, aluminum, anodized)

Technical description:
RS 85
The precipitation sensor RS 85 is used to control the closure setting, collection device, and status monitoring device. Electronic devices are placed in a polyester base unit that is not affected by climate. The cover can be disassembled by loosening the screws, and the surface of the cover integrates electronic heating equipment and sensors. The surface of the sensor is in a 15 degree pyramid shape, which ensures smooth flow of rainwater. On each surface of the sensor, there are vertical probes that can detect the melting of snowflakes. To prevent corrosion, the surfaces of sensors and probes are gold-plated. The two-stage electronic heating can be adjusted proportionally according to user needs. Low gear operates under normal operating conditions, while high gear (with stronger electronic heating) is activated immediately upon receiving a rain signal, allowing the liquid on the sensor surface to evaporate faster.
RS 85 OP
Constructed similarly to RS 85, but without a snow probe.
Advantages of precipitation sensor RS 85 and precipitation sensor RS 85 OP:
Large sensitive gold-plated surface (approximately 60 cm2)
Vertical probes in four directions (limited to RS 85 only)
The surface heating equipment of the sensor can be adjusted and divided into two levels
Cut off delay adjustable
Advantages of precipitation sensor NRS 80:
Sensitive gold-plated surface (approximately 40 cm2)
The surface heating equipment of the sensor can be adjusted and divided into two levels
Cut off delay adjustable
NRS 80
The precipitation sensor NRS 80 is a device used to control the closure setting, collection device, and status monitoring. Electronic devices are placed in a polyester base unit that is not affected by climate. The cover can be disassembled by loosening the screws, and the surface of the cover integrates electronic heating equipment and sensors. A set of optional clamping tools can maintain a 30 degree tilt angle on the sensor surface, allowing rainwater to flow smoothly. To prevent corrosion, the sensor surface is gold-plated. The built-in two-stage electronic heating can be adjusted proportionally according to user needs. Low gear operates under normal operating conditions, while high gear (with stronger electronic heating) is activated immediately upon receiving a rain signal, allowing the liquid on the sensor surface to evaporate faster.
