Belt dryer is a contact type drying equipment with continuous feeding and discharging methods. The material liquid to be dried is directly transported and arranged to enter the interior of the dryer at a high height, and spread on several drying belts inside the dryer. The drying belt is driven by a specially designed rubber roller driven by a motor to move along the direction of the dryer cylinder at a set speed. Each drying belt is equipped with three independent heating plates and one cooling plate below, and the drying belt is closely attached to the heating plate and cooling plate to transfer the energy required for drying to the material through contact heat transfer. When the drying belt moves from one end of the cylinder to the other, the material has already been dried and cooled. When the drying belt folds back, the dried material cake is peeled off from the drying belt and sent to the destruction equipment through an up and down moving cutting device. The destroyed material is discharged through two airlock type discharge hoppers. Due to the material entering the height directly and gradually drying for a period of time (usually 30-60 minutes), the particles obtained after drying have a certain degree of crystallization effect, and there are micropores inside from the microstructure. After directly breaking down to the required particle size, the flowability of the particles is very good, and they can be directly compressed or encapsulated. At the same time, due to the micro porous structure of the particles, they have excellent solubility. And the appearance of the particles is good, which can greatly improve the level of instant (granule) products. The belt dryer feeds and discharges continuously at both ends of the machine body.
Regarding the extracts of the vast majority of natural products, they can be applied. Especially for the materials with high viscosity, easy agglomeration, thermoplasticity and heat sensitivity, it is not suitable or impossible to use spray drying. Belt dryer is a better choice. Moreover, the concentrated extract can be directly sent to a belt dryer for drying without adding any auxiliary materials, which can reduce the dosage of the product and improve its quality. During the entire drying process, the product is in a closed environment and the drying process is gentle (product temperature 40-60 ℃). As for natural extract products, they can maintain their color, aroma, and taste to a great extent, resulting in high-quality products. Belt dryer can perform complete CIP in-situ cleaning, which is very convenient for batch to batch and product to product CIP in-situ cleaning, making it very easy to replace products, greatly reducing the labor intensity of workers, and ensuring the quality of products.
